Halloween

For Halloween I decided to dress up last minute as a FLDS member. My sign read "Wife #3 Tuesdays Only." I'm pretty sure that wasn't a good idea, but it seemed so funny at the time.

This is a onesie that Phil bought and sent from Texas for Capri. MEOW!
This is Leo and Capri at Trunk or Treat. Isn't my little Bumble Bee adorable? Leo added the daisy to make the costume more girlie.

Back Surgery and the First Giggle

A week before I had Capri my left leg started hurting really bad. I thought that I had pulled my hamstring. Through my very short labor that was what hurt that most, not the contractions. After delivery, the back of my leg went numb. The pain was worse, but my skin was numb. I couldn't sit for more than a few minutes. I had to nurse standing or laying down. A week after I had Capri I went to physical therapy for my leg. After that first session, my heel and two small toes also went numb. Finally, after weeks of therapy, a new doctor, and an MRI I learn my pain is being caused by a rutured disc which in pinching my sciatic nerve. Yea! We now knew the cause and I wasn't crazy! A doctor and a surgeon later I have surgery and the pain in my leg is gone. What a blessing!! I can now sit without pain.
Mom kept Capri the night I had it done. The next day Leo was playing with her and she GIGGLED!! The first time ever!! I was watching TV, but heard it and it was so cute. She's only done it once since then. I wait and try to draw it out every day.

Shauna brought me flowers the next day. I love Daisys. Thank you Shauna!!

New Cousin

The day after Capri was blessed and on Philip's 30th Birthday, we welcomed a new baby into the family. My cousin Daniels wife Valerie gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby girl named Reese Elizabeth. Here's a picture of Daniel holding Reese on the left and Capri on the right. Capri is just 1 month and 3 days older than Reese. So fun!

Better late than never, right?

Capri was blessed at church on September 28,2008. Which is a special day because it was also her Granpa's 68th birthday. Phil, Lauren, and the kids were able to come up from Texas. Besides family, Bob Crane and Paul Baclowski were in the blessing circle and it was very special. Almost as soon as Capri was blessed she decided that it was timeto eat and after eating she promptly spit up ALL over me. It got on her dress, but mostly on my and down my shirt. Gross. After the blessing we went back to mom's where she made a big breakfast. Later on we celebrated Pop's birthday and Philip's. Philips was the next day. He turned 30!!!

One Month Old!

HAPPY ONE MONTH BIRTHDAY CAPRI!!

My little girl Capri turned one month old yesterday. I can't believe that she's already one month! Seems like I just came home from the hospital. She is such a joy and a blessing in our lives. This picture is from the day she was born. She's already gained 2 pounds!
My little sweetheart has determined that Saturdays aren't for sleeping in. She has gotten me to wake up super early every Saturday and making sure we don't go back to sleep by projectile spit up. Also, she likes to not let us sleep Saturday nights either. So she doesn't like Sunday either. Pray that changes!!
Until then, Happy One Month Birthday Capri!
