I have offically switched to the night shift and have been working nights for a week now. The first 2 shifts were so hard working through and driving home was a bit scary at 7:30am. I have adjusted to the new schedule now and feel a bit cut off from the world. I sleep all day and stay up all night. I'm awake while Leo sleeps and gets up to get ready for work and don't go to bed until long after he has been at work. I worry about waking Leo while he is trying to sleep and spend most of the evening/night (when I'm not working) reading, watching movies, or playing on the computer. I can only play here on the computer for short periods of time, it's not that exciting. I'm almost finished with my second book this week. I need to find some more books to read! But I love my new job and love the nurses and babies that I get to work with. Most of the nurses are around my age and very friendly and helpful. I got to help give a bath to a baby the other night. The baby is just to tiny and adorable, kept smiling while feeding.
Today I am 28 weeks/7 months pregnant. Every new week that gets here I can't help but feel relief. Working with these little babies who are born anywhere between 24-35 weeks I feel reassurance with every single day that Capri doesn't come. She has been moving so much, more and more all the time. A few times she has hurt me, but I love everytime. I love being pregnant. I'm so excited to meet Capri and look forward to holding her in my arms and kissing her. At the same time, I know that I will miss watching my belly move with her movements and feeling her inside. I feel so blessed and happy.
Well, it's 3:20am, in about 30 minutes I get to go start making Leo's breakfast. An omlet with ham, cheese, bell pepper, tomatoes, and onion. I'm so awesome. (humble too!)

Hey Goose, when you leave a comment, add your name! I would have no idea who it was, as you are the only person from work that knows about this blog!
